- I am a transgender chef in the Boston Area who is obsessed with learning about foods, culture and people from all over the globe while at the same time doing what I can to challenge U.S. hegemony and participate in movements for progressive social change both locally and on a world scale. I am of the stripe that views "queer politics" as mostly a cultural phenomenon and by-product of the hegemony of the "global north" and advocate for a "queer-and-gender-politics" that integrates and solidarizes with other world social movements (economic/labor, environment, national liberation, anti-war, anti-imperialist, anti-globalization, etc).
