I a lover of nature and experiencing it with my family! I love bike rides with my kids and wife and watching them grown and learn. Dancing daily is a much need spiritual practice for me.
I am an activist for many human rights. Marriage equality is a big focus for me during these crucial historical months in California.
I have a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in urban and regional planning. I'm currently in seminary school working on my M.Div. degree with an emphasis of study of Islam.
I volunteer as a human rights commissioner for my local county and as a board member Marriage Equality USA as well as serve on a statewide Unitarian Unversalist Legislative Ministry committee as an advisor for marriage equality. Oh yeah...I love to garden!

I applaud you for working for a more just society.
I'd like to share an old blog post of mine in which I criticized MassEquality - the gay marriage group here in MA.
It is important for folks in CA (which I'm so excited to move to in a few weeks btw) to not get sucked into the traps that the larger organizations often set for us... traps that divide us in the long run. See Below:
