Queer Liberation, Not Assimilation!

Welcome to QueerToday.com. This site has evolved from a small resource for queer youth into a thriving web community for queer identified activists and our allies worldwide. We formed the largest ever protest of Focus on the Family, broke countless queer news stories, planned anti-war protests, and more. We continue, as a community, to build coalitions and fight for social justice for all.

I am currently residing in San Francisco with my partner Wing. I work for a non-profit serving the Bay Area's LGBTQ-headed families. Before that I worked at an organization that sued pharmaceutical companies, and before that The Boston Alliance of LGBTQ Youth. I've served on the board of Greater Boston PFLAG, and spoke to thousands of high school students about LGBTQ issues through PFLAG, SpeakOut, and the Department of Public Health of Massachusetts.

Please feel free to contact me personally to book speaking engagements.

Gay Orgs Silent on Trans Violence Connection to Jorge's Murder

Update: 365gay.com lists vigil for "gay teens" but fails to mention Transgender Day of Remembrance tonight.

Gay rights organizations like Join the Impact Massachusetts are holding rallies and candlelight vigils to honor the life of Jorge Steven López Mercado this Sunday - a commendable effort.

However, they should be speaking out about violence against people who are transgender or gender variant and encouraging people to light a candle for Jorge at tonight's Transgender Day of Remembrance. Th… Continue

Why Kucinich Voted NO on Health Care Reform

Congressman Dennis Kucinich after voting against H.R. 3962 addresses why he voted NO, stating:

"We have been led to believe that we must make our health care choices only within the current structure of a predatory, for-profit insurance system which makes money not providing health care. We cannot fault the insurance companies for being what they are. But we can fault legislation in… Continue

Interview: Kip Williams, National Equality March Organizer

1. How did you get involved in planning the National Equality March? Tell us a little bit about what the experience was like for you.

Right after David Mixner called for the march, I sent him a very simple email: "Dear David, Put me to work." He let me know that Cleve Jones would be le… Continue

Thanks Mark, I will do that. It's actually from a paper I wrote this last semester based on the book "Love Stories, Sex Between Men Before Homosexuality" by Jonathan Ned Katz. I will do that.
