Hi there
With so much going on after last Thursday's incredible, historic victory, I haven't had a chance to do some blogging.

Yes, for those of us that may have been under a rock or on the highest tip of the Himalayas, WE WON! The California Supreme court voted 4-3 to make marriage only for different gendered couples illegal and against the state constitution. Wow!! If you can, check out the text of this amazing decision at their website (just google California Supreme court decisions).

So what is next is for all of us and all of our allies and family, co-workers, neighbors, friends to support the fight against the ballot initiative to put discrimination into the Calif. constitution. If you can help with sending money, great. If you can help with volunteering time, great. If you can help by educating everyone you know on how domestic partnership is a system that makes (oops, read that MADE) us second class citizens and we can only have all the rights and responsibilities that all couples get through the institution of marriage. And to stand and support marriage for all is the right thing to do for the GLBT community but also for all of California's residents. Any time there's discrimination against some of us, there's discrimination against all of us. Anytime one person isn't free, none of us are free.

Some organizations to support/join:
Marriage Equality USA
NCLR
Equality California
Equality for All. org

Historically, when put to the vote, the majority rarely votes in favor of the minority. It's going to be a tough battle but, with all of us and our allies involved, it's not an impossible one.
